Nystagmus Tracker is a mobile application designed to help users measure and track their eye movement frequency in Hz. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Information We Collect
Our app collects the following data:
Camera and Video When you perform a scan, the app temporarily records a short video of your eyes using your device’s front camera. This video is sent to our secure server for analysis and is immediately deleted after processing. We do not store your video footage.
Scan Results Your scan results (Hz measurements) are saved anonymously on your device and in our secure database. These results are not linked to any personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
Notes If you choose to add notes to your scan results, these are stored locally on your device and anonymously in our database.
How We Use Your Information
- To analyze your eye movement frequency and return results to you
- To help improve the accuracy of our measurement technology
- To support nystagmus research anonymously
What We Do NOT Collect
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your location
- Any identifying personal information
- Your video footage (deleted immediately after processing)
Data Security
All data transmitted between your device and our server is encrypted using HTTPS. Your scan results are stored anonymously and cannot be traced back to you personally.
Data Deletion
You can delete all of your local scan results at any time using the “Clear All” button in the Results screen of the app. Anonymous data in our database may be automatically deleted within 90 days.
Third Party Services
This app uses the following third party services:
- Firebase (Google) — for anonymous data storage
- Render.com — for secure server processing
Children’s Privacy
This app is intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All data collected is anonymous.
Medical Disclaimer
This app is for reference only and is not intended for medical use. Your first scan should be used as your personal baseline. Results should not be used as an absolute medical measurement. Always consult a qualified medical professional for medical advice.
